I am an experienced retail pharmacist and am applying for your Community Pharmacist opening listed on Pharmacy-Jobs.com.

I currently am a retail pharmacist for the Safeway grocery chain, working in Hercules, California in the San Francisco Bay Area, but will soon be relocating to Merced. As a Safeway community pharmacist, I provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care for a diverse patient community. I handle all aspects of filling prescriptions, providing service that's both personal and efficient, while ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal laws, and company best practices.

Patient counseling is a critical part of my role as a pharmacist. I make it a practice to know my customers by name, know their situations, and help them understand their medications and side effects, while watching out for adverse interactions with herbal or prescription medicines. I am a bilingual pharmacist fluent in three languages: English, Tagalog and Spanish.

I graduated witha PharmD degree from ACPE-accredited University of the Pacific. I have an active California pharmacy license in good standing, am immunization certified, and qualified to participate in federal health care programs.

I have great respect and admiration for Walgreens' pharmacy operations, and have several college friends that are Walgreens pharmacists. I am excited about the possibility of furthering my pharmacist career with an organization of your caliber.
